Benefits of Infrared Sauna

Written By Dr. Jason Kremer on March 31, 2020

Far Infrared SaunaAs we are still taking those extra steps to avoid the seasonal cold and flu (and now Coronavirus), reducing stress, improving sleep, increasing hydration, and focusing on gut health and a low inflammatory diet are still really the best things you could do. However, if your looking to get one more regular practice regarding immune support into your routine, I highly recommend infrared saunas. Obviously, getting one into your own home would be the best cased scenario but in the meantime, or if you'd just like to take one for a test drive- try our Sunlighten Full Spectrum Infrared sauna at Wellness Doctor here in Bend Oregon.

Saunas have been around for a long time and are very regular practices among the Scandanavians. More recently a new era of sauna technology has entered the realm of infrared light. Although I make this sound like a "new thing", mid, near, and far infrared wavelengths have been around...well, forever. These are the healthy life-giving wavelengths our sun puts out (minus the ultraviolet rays).

Benefits associated with infrared saunas include: detoxification, improved circulation, immune support, relaxation, pain reduction, weight loss, and much more.
